The Seniors Alpine Ski Club is based in Calgary Alberta. The Club is a meeting ground for members 55+ to share with others, their love of downhill skiing in the Canadian Rockies and beyond. The Club attracts fun-loving, interesting people from all walks of life. The Club offers affordable prices for ski tours at locations with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Also offered are ski days, carpooling, and social functions that include Pub Nights, pot-luck dinners, an annual dinner/dance as well as the Jack De Lorme Golf Day. The non-profit Seniors Alpine Ski Club has over 400 members who have varying levels of skiing ability but lots of enthusiasm. By taking advantage of organized multi-day tours and local ski days, new members readily meet others with whom to share their skiing enjoyment. While most Club members reside in Calgary and area, membership is open worldwide. The annual fee is just $25.00. Wednesdays At Nakiska Nakiska has become a traditional meeting place for our Club on Wednesdays so we hope you will be there to meet ski friends – old and new. We gather at the far end of the Day Lodge. This is a great opportunity for new members to come out and get acquainted with the Club. Après ski after 2 pm in the upstairs Finish Line Lounge is part of the tradition. We ski most Wednesdays, but skip some during holidays. Watch the Upcoming Events or check our Calendar for scheduled dates. Check the link for conditions and run status. |
Informal Groups With so many great mountains so close, our members don't restrict their skiing to just one day a week. They quite often hang out together at Sunshine or Louise. When we get close to the ski season we'll post some days, times and locations where people can meet to ski with other members. |
2026 - 2027 Ski Trips/Tours |
A highlight for many members are the Seniors Alpine Ski Club organized tours which, at this time includes a full selection of tours for the 2026-2027 Ski season. All bus tours include Bus transportation to and from the resort, 3 days of skiing, 4 nights accommodation, and evening social events. Social events include a Welcome Reception with light refreshments and welcome from ski resort representatives. A group dinner is arranged on one other evening. All other food is the responsibility of particpants. The Tours to Sunshine and Castle are self-drive and include only 2 nights of accommodation. The February 28, 2027 Tour to Sun Peaks is 4 days of skiing with 5 nights of accommodation. For the current season there are 7 tours to the major mountain ski areas listed below. Tours are open to Club Members Only. Detailed information for the Tour season is available on the Tours page of the Members Only portion of this web site.
